So what exactly goes into the training process at Sussex Tree, Inc?
Sussex Tree Training
Did you know that falling trees is one of the most life-threatening activities that any worker can perform? That’s why at Sussex Tree, we require that all of our staff complete routine training sessions with North American Training Solutions, a training program offering a wide variety of courses to arborists and more, on a wide range of specialized skills, safety, and techniques.
At Sussex Tree, we require all of our staff to attend over 150 classroom hours of training every calendar year, as well as weekly safety meetings. This is to ensure that each and every one of our staff members is current on industry changes and standards, as well as adhering to all safety standards.
We are proud to currently have six Certified Arborists on staff, two Certified Tree Safety Professionals (CTSP), as well as a Maryland Tree Expert License! An arborist maintains trees and shrubs through trimming and pruning, to ensure that they don’t interfere with public works, such as power lines, roads, or sidewalks. Arborists services may also be used to improve the appearance, health, or value of trees. Certified Tree Safety Professionals complete a study guide, attend training workshops, and also pass a comprehensive again to be certified. To stay certified, CTSP’s are required to earn a minimum of 30 Continuing Education Units every three years, by committing to continuing their growth in the safety field through a variety of means.
In addition to having Certified Arborists and Certified Tree Safety Professionals on staff, Sussex Tree also boasts:
